VIVIENDA DE LA CAJA DE NOGAL

Se trata de un piso integrado en la quinta planta de un edificio residencial situado en una de las principales avenidas de acceso a Valencia.
La vivienda es muy luminosa, ya que cuenta con dos fachadas exteriores en esquina orientadas a sureste y suroeste con una amplia vista urbana sobre la avenida.
En esta actuación el objetivo principal consistía en dotar a la vivienda de una mayor calidad espacial, reduciendo la compartimentación y mejorando la relación entre las distintas estancias. De manera que la distribución resultante dispone de espacios más amplios y prácticos.
El elemento más característico y distintivo de la vivienda es la “Caja de Nogal”, que acompaña al visitante desde el vestíbulo, en el lateral del distribuidor, hasta llegar al espacio principal, donde el frente de la cocina cierra la envolvente de dicha caja. Este panelado de madera pretende proporcionar al piso elegancia y sofisticación pero sin perder calidez de hogar.
Otro de los puntos singulares del piso está en el encuentro entre ambas fachadas. Es un mirador acristalado con una bonita vista panorámica, que debido a la configuración estructural del edificio, cuenta con un pilar muy próximo. La presencia del pilar supuso tratar este espacio prácticamente como residual en la distribución de origen. En la nueva configuración de la vivienda, por su situación en planta y por la luz que introduce al interior, se integra en el espació principal adquiriendo gran relevancia. Dicho pilar se dejó de hormigón visto eliminando el revestimiento que lo cubría, y adosado a él se realizó un mueble-baúl a medida sobre el que disponer un colchón, convirtiendo este lugar, bautizado como “Rincón del Sabio”, en idóneo para el descanso o la lectura mientras se contempla la vista.

It’s a flat integrated on the fifth floor of a residential building located in one of the main avenues of access to Valencia.
The house is very bright because has two outer facades oriented to southeast and southwest with a wide urban view on the avenue.
In this performance the main purpose was to provide housing for greater spatial quality, reducing compartmentalization and improving the connection between the different rooms. So that the resulting distribution has spaces wider and more practical.
The most characteristic and distinctive housing element is "Walnut box", which accompanies the visitor from the lobby, on the side of the hallway, until arrive to the main space, where the front of the kitchen closes the envelope of this box. This wood paneling aims to provide elegance and sophistication to the apartment without losing the warmth of home.
Other of the singular points of the apartment is in the meeting between both facades. It is a lookout glazed with a nice panoramic view, which due to the structural configuration of the building, is provided with a very next pillar. The presence of the pillar supposed treating this space practically like residual in the origin distribution. In the new configuration of the housing, for its situation in plant and for the light that it introduces inside, it is integrated into the main space acquiring great relevancy. Attached to the pillar, a furniture-trunk was made to measure on which was placed a mattress, turning this space in suitable for the rest or the reading while the view is contemplated. This is called “Corner of the Wise”.
